The President-elect declined to wade into a burgeoning scandal involving Trump
President-elect Joe Biden went to Georgia on Monday, the day after explosive revelations that President Donald Trump pressured state officials there to find votes to deliver him Georgia's presidential race.
And he said nothing about Trump's behavior, even as Biden encouraged voters to send Democratic nominees Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff to the U.S. Senate in a runoff election on Tuesday.
Biden took his verbal shots at Trump, lambasting the "god-awful" effort the outgoing administration has made in getting the COVID-19 vaccine out to states and into the arms of the public. But the only reference Biden made to the stunning, hour-long phone call Trump made to Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger was bafflement that Trump was still trying to stay in office if he didn't want to do the job of president.
